Lincoln City are close to completing a deal to sign Alloa striker Kevin O’Hara, according to reports.

The Imps are set to make several changes to the squad with Michael Appleton hoping to build a team in his own image.

The former Oxford boss did a great job making recruitment decisions while in charge at the Kassam Stadium, bringing in players like Kemar Roofe, who would help fire the club into League One for the first time in 16-years.

It did, however, take time to make progress on the pitch and Lincoln can expect improvement from their side after a difficult transition from the Cowley brothers.

According to James Goodwin, they are set to sign Alloa’s 21-year-old striker Kevin O’Hara who netted 10 times in 27 appearances for the Wasps in the Scottish Championship this season.

The Imps have also been linked with another O’Hara, with reports suggesting former Manchester United goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara could sign at Sincil Bank after an impressive couple of campaigns at Burton Albion and Macclesfield Town respectively.

It is set to be a busy summer for Michael Appleton after 11 players were released at the end of the season with youngster Ellis Chapman also expected to leave in the coming weeks.
