Bradford are hoping to further strengthen their forward line by signing Oldham striker Conor McAleny, according to reports.
The Bantams already landed Latics striker Danny Rowe this week for an undisclosed fee but are now thought to be monitoring the availability of the Lancashire club’s top scorer.
McAleny joined Oldham last summer from Fleetwood on a one-year deal and despite Karl Evans, Oldham’s CEO, claiming they have knocked back an inquiry about their top marksman, the Telegraph & Argus have reported that Bradford are still interested.
McAleny has netted an impressive 14 goals in just 19 starts this season for Oldham and the Bantams are hoping to tempt the player to Valley Parade.
Danny Rowe is expected to make his Bradford debut against Cambridge this weekend while Oldham host high-flying Newport at Boundary Park.
The Latics secured the services of Northampton winger Nicky Adams yesterday while also adding Marcus Barnes after a successful trial.
Bradford have been on a good run in League Two having won three of their last five matches while being unbeaten during that time.
