Swindon Town will be without two key players for their FA Cup clash with fellow League Two outfit Cheltenham Town this weekend.
In an unusual move, Richie Wellens refused to release the identity of the two individuals concerned who are believed to be on loan and therefore being refused permission to play in the cup by their parent clubs.
The players currently on loan at the County Ground include the fourth division’s top scorer Eoin Doyle (Bradford), Jerry Yates (Rotherham), Anthony Grant (Shrewsbury), Diallang Jaiyesimi (Norwich), Steven Benda (Swansea) and Adam May (Portsmouth). Lloyd Isgrove will miss out with a knee injury while Keshi Anderson could be involved despite concerns over a hamstring problem.
Wellens intends to play a 4-4-2 formation at Whaddon Road which suggests Yates and Doyle will play, according to the Swindon Advertiser.
Meanwhile, Cheltenham have received clearance to allow Jacob Greaves, Max Sheaf, Jake Doyle-Haynes and Gavin Reilly to feature with Micheal Duff revealing he had no selection concerns.
“All players are available, which is a good thing.
“Hopefully we can pick the right team that incorporates everyone. We’ve got lots of options, we’ll pick a team capable of winning the game.”
Duff added: “Swindon are one of the best teams we have played this year.
“They moved the ball around and caused us a lot of problems. They’re a team on a good run, and it will be a tough game.
“Eoin (Doyle) is a good player, but Swindon can hurt a team in lots of different ways. They can play different formations and have good attacking players.
“As we saw in August, they started like a train and we went behind. Richie (Wellens) has got them playing well.”
