Sheffield Wednesday star Josh Windass is being linked with a move Millwall, according to reports, as the Lions become the latest club to show an interest.
Windass has also been linked with West Brom, Birmingham and Fulham but Millwall are thought to be preparing a bid for the 27-year-old.
Sheffield Wednesday continue to be in a mess off the field with players waiting for unpaid wages and Darren Moore still unsure of what his budget will look like next season.
There is a transfer embargo on the club that limits them to free transfers or loan players so long as there is no fee attached, but keeping their current stars also looks problematic.
According to his father, Dean, Josh Windass could be allowed to leave for around £2m which would be decent business for a man with only a year remaining on his contract.
There are a host of Championship clubs rumoured to be interested and, as reported by Sky, Millwall are the lastest to join the race.
Windass netted 10 times for the Owls last season despite their relegation to League One and his performances have rightly attracted attention.
The Yorkshire club need to sort out their issues off the pitch asap if they are going to compete in a third-tier that includes the likes of Portsmouth, Sunderland, Bolton and Ipswich next season.
