Oldham Athletic look set to sign Northampton Town winger Nicky Adams after the player was pictured at Boundary Park.
The 34-year-old has won promotion twice from League Two in the last two seasons, firstly with Bury and then during the 2019/20 campaign with Northampton.
He will add some much-needed experience to an Oldham squad that has lacked a bit of nous during the season so far.
What a great signing this will be for Oldham
His dead-ball ability is fantastic. Hope to see this done today#oafc https://t.co/DUG5grRQi4

His ability from set-pieces will also be a useful weapon for the Latics while his energy and natural leadership are exactly the traits Harry Kewell is looking to add this January.
Oldham have seen Danny Rowe join Bradford during the window but are yet to add to their squad with Adams likely to be the first player through the door.
His stats are extremely impressive having put in 570 crosses in his last two campaigns in the fourth tier while also notching 33 assists since the start of the 2018-19 season and hitting six goals.
Adams is also comfortably carrying the ball having completed 57 successful-dribbles with Northampton last year and 62 with Bury the season before.
Oldham host high-flying Newport County on Saturday having not managed a win in their last five league games.
