Morecambe are trying to seal a loan move for Blackburn defender Tyler Magloire, as reported by Alan Nixon.
The defender, known as one of the fastest men in football, spent the second half of last season on loan at Motherwell but could head to the League One outfit this summer.
Motherwell are keen to keep the 22-year-old after he impressed during his 12 appearances in the Scottish Premiership, but Stephen Robinson is hoping to lure the defender to the Mazuma.
Morecambe are heading into their first-ever campaign at League One level and are looking to replace the departing Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Harry Davis.
Magloire has one year left on his deal at Ewood Park and a loan moe is sensible given the lack of first-team opportunities at the Championship club.
The Shrimps also face a battle to keep hold of star attacker Carlos Mendes-Gomes with both Luton and Hull looking to sign the £500k valued 22-year-old.
Mendes-Gomes was a stand-out player during an impressive 2020/21 season in which he scored 16 goals and notched six assists in 54 appearances in all competitions.
Morecambe have already secured the services of key forward Cole Stockton for 2021/22 after the player signed a new deal while Arthur Gnahoua has arrived on free from Bolton.
