The agent of Notts County’s Enzio Boldewijn is said to be considering the winger’s options as Lincoln City target the Dutchman.

Speculation has been building in recent weeks that Danny Cowley wants to bring the winger to Sincil Bank to bolster his side ahead of the league campaign, Nottinghamshire Live has revealed.

However, it is understood that there has yet to be contact made with The Magpies and a fee would be required for the exciting winger’s services, given he has two-years left to run on his contract at Meadow Lane.

Boldewijn made 39 appearances for County last season, finding the net six times. However, there may be concerns over his durability, as he missed three months of the season with a serious knee injury; this kept him out of action between November and January.

It is certain, though, that a player of his calibre deserves a place in the Football League, which Notts County can no longer provide following their relegation to the National League. Since the start of the 2016-17 campaign the winger has scored 19 goals and assisted a further 13 in League Two while completing 226 dribbles (52% of all those attempted).

The Dutchman joined Notts County last summer on a three-year-deal. This set the magpies back a six-figure sum . Given the current ownership issues at the club, and their relegation, Notts will be keen on selling some players this summer.
