Ipswich Town are hoping to sign Colchester United’s highly-rated left-back Kane Vincent-Young.
The player is coming off the back of an outstanding campaign in 2018-19 and is reportedly being lined up as a potential target by Ipswich, according to the EADT.
The 23-year-old made it into the InStat Football Team of the Season after an excellent season with the U’s last year.

Despite not making the play-offs the full-back is considered to be one of the brightest prospects at the club and he admitted there was interest from Championship prior to deadline day.
Vincent-Young said: “It was tight (prior to deadline) but these things are out of your control.
“It goes on above you and if you go, you go and if you stay, you stay.
“I love my team-mates and I enjoy playing for this team.”
“Everybody wants to test themselves and if there’s an opportunity to go to the Championship, I don’t think anyone would say no.
“But these things happen and I’m happy to be here.
“It was a bit of a stressful period these last couple of weeks but it’s nice for it all to settle down and I just want to help the team.
“It’s out of your control so you have to put it out of your mind, focus on your football and doing the things that got them to talk.”
Colchester were defeated by Plymouth Argyle at Home Park last weekend and face Swindon Town at home in the League Cup first round tomorrow night.
