Ipswich Town are hoping to agree a deal to sign Burton Albion striker Gassan Ahadme, according to reports.

The Tractor Boys have enjoyed an excellent start to the season but are still trying to add to their squad as the transfer deadline approaches.

Kieran McKenna’s side have bagged 14 points from their opening six games and currently sit top of the division at this early stage of the season.

According to FLW, the club are trying to negotiate a deal to sign Burton Albion striker Gassan Ahadmen following a string of impressive performances.

The Morrocan youth international has netted five times this season in eight appearances including a brace in his last two matches.

Unlike Ipswich, Burton have not enjoyed a good start to the new season and it remains to be seen whether Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink would allow the talented 21-year-old to leave.

Burton are yet to win in the league this season but did seal victory in the EFL Trophy mid-week with a 4-2 win against Leicester City U21 in which Ahadme netted twice.

Ahadme started his career at Norwich before joining Burton last January following a couple of loan spells to Oviedo B and Portsmouth.
