Bradford City have agreed a deal to sign former Tranmere Rovers left-back Liam Ridehalgh, D3D4 Football understands.
The defender has been at Tranmere for eight years having joined them in 2013 but was released earlier this summer by the Super White Army.
Ridehalgh is a left-back but is also comfortable playing wing-back. He was part of Mickey Mellon’s double promotion-winning side that won both the National League play-offs in 2018 and the League Two play-offs a year later.
Last season he made 21 appearances for Tranmere as the club once again competed in the postseason only to be defeated by Morecambe in the semi-finals.
D3D4 Football understands the Bantams have agreed terms with the 30-year-old that will see the player sign on at Valley Parade for the 2021/22 campaign.

Bradford are under the management of Derek Adams after the Scotsman agreed to leave Morecambe following a superb season that culminated in promotion for the Shrimps. The club will be hoping the 45-year-old can equal that achievement this year and add to the four promotions already on his C.V.
With the Bantams looking to rebuild, Ridehalgh is seen as a replacement for the departing Connor Wood who was released after three years in Yorkshire. The 24-year-old has recently signed with fellow League Two side Leyton Orient.
Bradford have already brought in Abo Eisa, Lee Angol and Andy Cook this summer, with several more additions expected in the next few weeks.
