Piers Palmer, D3D4 Colchester United Correspondent

I’ve been a Colchester fan for 13 years. I’m a third generation supporter with Granddad and Dad going since The U’s famous win over Leeds in the 5th round of the FA Cup in 1971. I’ve always had a lot to say about my club and have always written into the local radio’s match day shows airing my views! And I’ll have plenty to say here at D3D4 Football too!

1.Team Supported: Colchester United

2.First Match Attended & the Year: Colchester 2-0 Rushden and Diamonds, Layer Road, 2004

3.Most Memorable Match: Southend United 0-3 Colchester United. Good Friday 2007 and what a good Friday it was!

4.Your favourite player of all time: Jamie Cureton – best striker I’ve seen play for Colchester and I’ve booed him every time I’ve seen him without a U’s shirt on.

5.Things you like least about modern football: ITV football. As a whole. It’s just awful.

6.Favourite flavour crisps: Depends on my mood but Flamin’ Hot Monster Munch are pretty good.
