I am a Husband, Father & Shrewsbury Town fan. I completely love living the highs and lows with Salop. There are more lows than highs unfortunately, but that is what makes you appreciate the highs all the more when they arrive! I blog at theshrewite.weebly.com and you can follow me on Twitter @TheShrewite
.Team Supported: Shrewsbury Town
.First Match Attended & the Year: Shrewsbury v Leyton Orient at Gay Meadow (RIP), 19th March 1991. We ran out 3-0 Winners and I was completely hooked….Thanks Dad.
.Most Memorable Match: Shrewsbury Town 2-1 Everton. FA Cup Third Round, 2003. I live on the Wirral, most of my mates are either Liverpool or Everton fans, so this giant killing will go down as one of the happiest days of my life (obviously after my wedding day & the birth of my kids).
.Your favourite player of all time: Paul Evans – a tough tackling CM who had the heart of a Lion and the engine of a Ferrari. He also hit the ball better than Beckham, I have seen him score some absolute Beauties! I have never been sadder than the day he left Salop. #STILLGUTTED
.Things you like least about modern football: A couple of things really do my head in. All seater stadiums are a complete annoyance. Hopefully Shrewsbury are on the verge of introducing the first safe standing area in England. My other big bug bare is Premier League fans & media thinking the only football played in England is in the top flight. Open your minds up to the lower leagues you brainwashed morons, you might start enjoying your football more!
.Favourite flavour crisps: Pickled Onion Walkers. If these disappear off the shelves anymore than they already have, I will find Gary Linker and take him hostage until the distribution level increases…..you have been warned! ?
