Chris Willett, D3D4 Plymouth Argyle Correspondent

Plymouth Argyle fan from nearby Cornwall. I am about to start my third season of Soccersight commentary at Home Park. Keen cricketer (and groundsman!). Used to be a pacey centre-back in my playing days, until hip surgery curtailed the career with a grand total of 12 goals from as many years.

1.Team Supported: Plymouth Argyle

2.First match attended and the year: December 2001 v Rushden and Diamonds, late Marino Keith goal sealed a 1-0 win.

3.Most memorable match: Bearing in mind work stopped me attending the QPR game when we won Division 2 several years ago, I’ll go for the play-off semi-final against Portsmouth in 2016. It felt that we were dominating the game and creating lots of chances, but nothing was going in. Had that feel of ‘not our day’ but Peter Hartley forced home a header in injury time to send us to Wembley. We won’t mention what happened under the arch…

4.Your favourite player of all time: Paul Wotton. Local lad, wore his heart on his sleeve. 400-odd appearances and captained two title-winning sides. Struck a dead ball pretty well too!

5.Things you least like about modern football: Where to start!! Two of my biggest bugbears are play acting (absolutely despise this) and a minor one is players who wear short sleeves and gloves in the winter – what is that about?!

6.Favourite flavour crisps: Mmm roast chicken I think!
