Gloucestershire pair, Cheltenham Town and Forest Green Rovers are interested in signing Hereford full-back Callum Wood.
Both clubs sent scouts to watch the 16-year-old left-back in a recent match for Cinderford Town, where he is currently on loan and were thought to be impressed by his performance, according to reports.
The two clubs are currently vying for a play-off berth in League Two and are always looking to improve by signing local young talent. Wood has been on the radar of several Football League Clubs but The Bulls have not received a formal offer.
The Robins have lost only five times in 27 matches this season are currently sitting just outside the top seven with a game in hand on Bradford, Colchester and Northampton above them.
Michael Duff’s men have added Alfie May to their squad during the current window while Forest Green raided the non-league market to sign highly-rated striker Josh March.
The Green Devils also brought in Jevani Brown from Colchester on loan and are set to bring in Oxford winger Rob Hall in the coming days.
Mark Cooper’s men have only managed two wins from their last 10 matches and travel to Macclesfield’s Moss Rose Ground this weekend.
