Charlton Athletic are looking to sign Blackpool’s in-form striker Armand Gnanduillet in January, according to reports.
The French striker has been ripping up League One this season scoring 10 times already in league competition while netting 12 overall.
The 27-year-old is seen as an ideal player to lead the line by Addicks boss Lee Bowyer with the Frenchman’s 6ft 3″ frame and physical presence a key asset so far this season for the Tangerines.
Gnanduillet could replace Lyle Taylor with the Charlton favourite expected to be the target of a number of Championship rivals including Brentford, who tried to strike a deal for the striker in the summer.
The Addicks did try and sign Gnanduillet at the end of the last window but the deal collapsed very late into the talks. It is thought, however, that the London club intend to renew the chase for the Blackpool man during January, according to London News.
The French forward is having a very good season but has never played at Championship level and has only once scored double figures in a single campaign when he bagged 10 goals in 2018-19, again with Blackpool.
He started his career with Le Havre and came to England when he was signed by Chesterfield in 2012-13. He has had spells with Tranmere, Oxford, Stevenage and Leyton Orient but has played his best football at Bloomfield Road.
