Championship clubs Stoke, Birmingham and Coventry are all lining up a move to sign Ipswich striker Kayden Jackson, according to reports.

The 26-year-old is heading into the final 12-months of his contract at Portman Road and has apparently rejected a new deal to extend his stay.

This has alerted a host of second-tier outfits who could now battle it out to sign the former Accrington man. Jackson has enjoyed a decent campaign for the Tractor Boys, netting 11 goals in 32 League One appearances in 2019/20.

According to the Football Insider, Stoke and Birmingham are lining up bids for the pacey forward as too are newly promoted Coventry City.

Jackson formed an impressive partnership with fellow Ipswich striker James Norwood last year, as well as scoring regularly he also had seven assists during the campaign.

It was, however, a disappointing season for Ipswich following a promising start. Paul Lambert’s men fell away badly after January, winning only once in their final nine games.

They finished the season in 10th place, seven points outside the play-offs and will now have to contend with a salary cap, which was voted in earlier this week.
