Bristol Rovers are preparing an offer to try and sign Exeter City striker Ryan Bowman, according to reports.
The Gas are desperate to add a new striker to their squad before the end of the current transfer window and Paul Tisdale believes Bowman would be an excellent addition for the League One side.
Rovers missed out on Jayden Stockley despite offering the player a four-and-a-half-year deal at the Memorial Ground, D3D4 Football understands.
Preston were hoping Stockly would choose to team up with his former manager in Bristol but he instead opted to move to Charlton on loan, much to the Championship clubs disappointment.
Tisdale has now turned his attention to Stockley’s replacement at Exeter, Ryan Bowman, according to former agent James Goodwin.

The Grecians attacker has scored 10 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions this season for the Devon club after hitting 15 in 47 during the 2019/20 campaign.
Rovers are sat just a point above the relegation zone in League One and have not won in their last four. They have struggle going forward for most of the season and a striker who can hold up the ball is seen as vital to their survival hopes.
