Birmingham City have agreed a deal with League Two club Salford City to sign their star striker Brandon Thomas-Asante, according to reports.
The Championship club look set to bring the player to St Andrew’s after being impressed with the players’ development over the last two seasons.
Thomas-Asante has been one of the best players at Salford in the last couple of years, netting 13 league goals for them last season and already netting five in six games in 2022/23 in all competitions.

Four of his strikes have come in League Two, helping the Ammies win four of their opening six matches in the fourth tier.
According to BBC journalist Alex Howell, City are set to complete the signing of the 23-year-old before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

Salford City are an ambitious club, funded in part by a group of former Manchester United players including Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes. David Beckham is also involved in the League Two outfit who will be hoping to get themselves promoted this season after failing to make the play-offs since winning promotion from the National League.
Their new manager, Niell Wood, has brought an impressive brand of football to the team since arriving this summer, something they often struggled with under previous managers.
Salford currently sit fourth in League Two, having lost just one of their opening six games. They face Crawley Town at home on Saturday.
